Hopefully the canoe does not stay outside in perpetuity. Tom |

Not saying this is you or your canoe but that’s how it happens. |

Would like to get your thoughts. I have a 17’ freedom that was my first cedar strip. It a great boat but I haven’t used it in about 5 years or so since I built my other (better) boat. It’s been sitting in a pole barn since. I’d like to bring it to my cabin and leave it outside over the winter. I would put it on a stand of some sort and tarp it of course… With that in mind…any thoughts? Bad idea? |

You are far better in a Pole barn ! Any unheated space is fine, so long as it stays dry. If I had to store outside, Be sure it is Dry, with good air flow . As a builder ? I hate to see a hull rot ! Jim |
