I am headed out for an overnight hang in a few days. I have an ENO Vulcan that I have slept in down to 25 degrees and was very comfortable in a 32 degree topquilt. It is suppose to be in the 10 degree range when I go out so I want to add a little more to increase the warmth. I have a thin closed cell pad that I will use. Would a space blanket between the UQ and the hammock help? Or would it create condensation?

i believe it would trap moisture, keep materials breathable.

If you can put something impermeable outside the UQ that will block the wind and create dead air down there, I think that will help.

Here is a helpful note from John MacIntyre that discusses appropriate materials for extreme cold. John is a veteran of several Minnesota Frozen Butt Hangs.
